Trustee/Director Vacancy

A vacancy for a trustee/director has arisen on the Board of The Villages’ Multi-Academy Trust. This represents an exciting opportunity for a suitably skilled candidate to join the Trust Board and help shape the future direction of the Trust.

The trustees make a significant contribution to our overall aim of ‘empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.’ As well as setting the direction of our Trust, trustees hold leaders to account and ensure financial probity. As charity trustees, they also ensure that they are complying with charity law requirements. Academy trusts are charitable companies and the trustees are company directors and must comply with company law requirements.

The success of our Trust relies on securing high-calibre individuals with specific skills and attributes, who are committed to securing the best possible outcomes for all pupils within the two academies within the Trust. The current trustees have considerable expertise and experience in finance, human resources, IT, education, property, marketing, policy development and the law. The ideal candidate may well have experience in one of these areas too but may well have other skills and attributes that would enable them to make valuable contributions to the further development of the Trust and its academies.
